About the author

Jacqui Hodder is an emerging author of action fantasy. All her life she’s looked up at the sky and watched the clouds roll over, delighting in nature and daydreaming.

One day, on a flight above the clouds, she looked down and wondered what it’d be like to actually fly a cloud. This was during a terrible drought in Southern Australia and the land was parched and thirsty. So began the idea, what if someone could learn to fly a cloud and use that skill to bring water to the places that needed it the most? That’s when ‘The Cloud Captains’ was born.

Jacqui Hodder still lives in a southern state of Australia. When she’s not writing, she’s teaching and looking after her animals; a crazy dog called ‘Tashi’ and a purring, heat-seeking kitty called ‘Olive’.
