A handy field guide for cloud collectors, filled with thorough descriptions and photographic examples of the 10 major cloud types and many variations and special features of clouds, along with a number of other atmospheric optical phenomena, all explained in a witty and engaging style. Thank you, Gavin Pretor-Pinney, for this book and for the Cloud Appreciation Society.
About the author
Gavin Pretor-Pinney is the founder of the Cloud Appreciation Society, a global organization that fights "blue-sky thinking." He is also the co-founder and creative director of The Idler magazine and author of the best-selling The Cloudspotter's Guide. He lives in Somerset, England.
