There are cases though were the Chinchilla will not enjoy being held. Chinchillas are a nocturnal creature meaning that they are active at night and sleep during the day. Your chinchillas should be kept somewhere quiet during the day so that they are able to rest. Because the Chinchilla is an energetic and active pet it requires plenty of room to run around in.
