Acerca de este libro electrónico

You can't stay young and innocent forever. Journey with Mary, the violet-haired girl, as she comes of age, exploring forbidden desires and searching for the love and beauty which eludes her.

With wide-eyed innocence, she gazes at all the world has to offer and discovers a bizarre world of poetry and perversity. Three others are along on a journey of discovery, and find their destinies intertwined. There is Lotus, the long-haired pretty boy, a troubled young man with strange abilities; Jasmine, his twin sister, a raven-haired seductress; and the large-breasted Tina, Mary's best friend.

Shall they remain innocent or shall they seek the corruption that beckons them?

Now sprouts the tender violet,

Now strains the heaving bust,

Before the cruel corruption,

The onset of lust,

And the rose's dewy petals open,

Yearning, tempting just

Before that sweet corruption,

The onslaught of lust.

Acerca del autor

Lotus Rose is also the author of MachoPoni: A Prance with Death and SinEaster. He writes about young characters in strange situations. At times dark, silly, or bawdy, his writing owes much to such influences as Alice in Wonderland and Roald Dahl, and explores themes like disillusionment, and the corruption of innocence. If his books were movies, they'd likely be directed by Tim Burton. He often writes in a style that is a more edgy, "grown-up" version of children's literature interspersed with his poetry and songs.

Here's a short poem he wrote:

O, shall I be like the lotus,

And bring you dark dreams and soft sighs?

Or shall I be like the rose is,

Sweet-scented and tempting your eyes?

For the unending sleep can seduce you,

To the world behind unseeing eyes.

And the beauty that beckons, then cuts you,

Is also the cruelest of lies.
