About this ebook

Enjoy this locked-room thriller from USA TODAY Bestselling mystery author Paul Austin Ardoin

"A suspenseful closed-room murder mystery. Ardoin masterfully crafts an edge-of-your-seat novel with the perfect balance of intrigue, drama, and humor."

--C.B. Samet, four-time award-winning author

A dead defendant. A court in lockdown. And a murderer in the room.

Coroner Fenway Stevenson is distraught. Not only is her father on trial for murder, but a huge conspiracy is wrecking the coastal town she calls home.

And with two gunshots in a crowded courtroom, everything changes.

A dead body. Thirteen people. A set of locked doors. As the hours tick by, one thing becomes clear: the killer is still in the courtroom and will stop at nothing to ensure the truth never comes out.

With nothing but a fingerprint kit, an Ethernet cable, and her wits, can Fenway catch the killer before becoming a victim herself?

I started this series from the beginning with book 1 then read book 2 then skipped to 5 which I normally don't do but boy am I glad I did. Definitely the best book in the series so far! Full of courtroom drama suspense and action. It was almost like having 6 books in one with all the little side stories being told. And the ending...My God my heart stopped when Fenway's Dad took the bullet. Want to read the next book now but I'm going to be patient and go back to book 3.
