About this eBook

Coopers: 2, Turners: 1

With the Coopers taking the lead again in the battle for Chance Creek’s Founder’s Prize, Liam Turner is determined to put his family back on top. And if that means kidnapping his secret childhood crush, Tory Cooper, well—a cowboy’s got to do what a cowboy’s got to do.

Tory set herself one rule when she returned to Chance Creek: don’t get involved—with her own family or anyone else. As soon as she’s finished with law school, she’s leaving again, and she won’t be back. But her family won’t get the message—and Liam Turner is a problem on a whole different level. Handsome, smart and determined, he won’t shake easily.

And she’s not sure she wants him to.

Now the summer’s heating up—and so is the trouble for both their families. Soon they won’t be fighting each other—they’ll be fighting for their lives.

ARC for honest review with no compensation 4.5 stars The Cowboy’s Stolen Bride is book 4 in the Turners vs Coopers of Chance Creek by Cora Seton. Continuing the saga to see who will win the Chance Creek Founders prize… The Turner’s or the Cooper’s? Liam Turner and Tori Cooper pair up at the wedding of her brother and his sister and decide to go for a ride but…what happens next will keep you turning the pages to see where it all ends... Seems the Turner and Cooper siblings are drawn to each other and hopefully they will bring the families together after decades of disliking each other. Can’t wait for the next book in the series!

What I like most about Ms. Seton's books is the story-telling that she brings to each story. This one is no exception. There's just something so pleasant about all the Chance Creek books. Just like with their siblings Liam and Tory have some obstacles to overcome, but at this point it was more of their own issues rather than coming from the families. Tory and Liam both had some growing to do, and I could see it developing. Particularly as more information about both sets of parents came out, and they had to face what really happened. At one point both families had to come together more than ever, although there is still some of the animosity that they've had for years. It's lovely to see the changes happening, and how neighbors are also working to help them bury the hatchet. There were a few surprises as well, which brought more emotion than I had expected. And it all starts with Liam and Tory stealing time away from their families.

I think this is my favorite of this series so far because there is less nastiness between the families – of course, the several relationships already existing between them help with this! Liam Turner knows that the first prize is water – and winning the competition will ensure that the Turners have water. But his apparent adversary is Tory Cooper – and he’s had a crush on her for years. Tory is back temporarily, determined not to stay in Chance Creek, and bitterly resentful of her mother for abandoning them. Tory and Liam are so well-written that they come off the page at you. And this book has intrigue – and it leaves you wondering – about the fathers, about the “affair,” and about the resilience of the community – and it closes with a storm of hope. I can’t wait for the next one! I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
