Frustrated by the lack of information on curly hair and the limited products available, the duo launched the site in 1998. Since then, NaturallyCurly.com has grown into TextureMedia, a social media network with more than 3 million unique monthly visitors. TextureMedia includes NaturallyCurly.com, CurlyNikki.com, CurlStylist.com, CurlMart.com.

Breyer, her husband, and her 13-year-old curly daughter live in Austin, TX.
