The sun was setting over the dense forest as Darren drove his friends Karen, Mike, and Susan up the winding dirt road toward his grandmother's cabin. The air was crisp and the trees loomed large around them, casting long shadows in the fading light.

Darren had inherited the cabin from his grandmother, who had passed away just a few months earlier. He hadn't been back to the cabin in over a decade, and the nostalgia and excitement churned in his stomach as they approached the old, weathered building.

As they pulled up to the cabin, Darren could see the excitement in his friends' eyes. Karen, with her bright blonde hair and infectious laugh, was already chatting animatedly about exploring the surrounding woods. Darren led his friends inside, the creaking of the floorboards echoing through the empty rooms. It was clear that the cabin had been left untouched for quite some time, and dust covered every surface.

As the night fell, the group gathered around the crackling fireplace, the warmth casting flickering shadows on the walls.
