About this eBook

New intrigues, adventures, and stunning revelations fill the penultimate installment of #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole’s electrifying Arcana Chronicles.

In a world teetering on the edge . . .

When Evie receives life-changing—and possibly game-changing—news, she has trouble believing it. Why doesn’t she feel any different? Is it possible someone she trusts might be lying?

With enemies at every turn . . .

Tensions seethe inside the castle of lost time as Evie starts to doubt her own sanity. Answers can be found outside their stronghold, but will Death help her find them—or prevent her from learning the truth about her future and Jack’s possible survival?

Darkness beckons.

A mysterious, sinister power begins to affect the Arcana in its path. Forced out into the wasteland alone, Evie must depend on unexpected allies. But as a battle with Richter looms, can her new alliance defeat the Dark Calling before hell reigns on earth?

After the last instalment, I was unsure if I was going to continue the series. This book had most of the anticipated action, and was a highly addicting read. My only complaint is, the author created two amazing male leads and the lead (woman) character rarely fends for productively and richochets too much between needy with short spurts of bada**sery. I don't think this endless triagle would be as obnoxious if her character was more self-reliant. I hate to say it, but other than Richter and Zara, Evie has become one of my least favorite characters. That being said, this book made me like Aric when I was hellbent on not liking him. I think that says a lot for the plot and the author. Also, the twists, I didn't see coming. Overall, it was a great weekend read.

Just can't stand having to wait sooo long for the next book to come out. I like Aric too but I think we forget that Jack has also been there for Evie through alot. Even when he had no idea what was happening!! I'm like her I would be totally torn between these two. Whose to Say that Aric won't turn on her in the end with the past they have had?

Less compelling than previous books in the series. Can't give away more without too many spoilers, but a bit anticlimactic towards the end. Still looking forward to next book.
