Acerca deste libro electrónico

On an October afternoon, the Officer in Charge of the Special Police Force, Kolkata, receives a mysterious phone call and soon finds himself in a race against time to save his family. The plot thickens when the OC learns that killing his family is not the least of the caller’s intentions.
But who is the caller? And why is he playing such a dangerous game with a man of substantial power?
As the OC struggles to find out the identity of the caller, many secrets are unleashed that change the lives of many people forever.

The story offers a disturbing blend of scandalous secret lives and ambiguous conspiracies and is a telling reminder that the world of power is a place where none is out of stake.

Acerca do autor

Srimanta Das, the author of the racy thriller, The Dispossessed, is a die-hard academician but his primary adrenaline rush is for poetry. His first novella is a dazzling mosaic of love and betrayal but there is an unmistakable poetic method in the madness.

Professionally, he is attached with M.C.K.V. Institute of Engineering as a faculty in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. He has also taught English Literature in Shibpur Dinobandhoo Institution (College) and Prabhu Jagatbandhu College.

He is an English Honours graduate from the University of Calcutta and has completed his Masters and M. Phil from Rabindra Bharati University. Currently he is pursuing his Ph.D. on the domestic ideologies in late 19th century England.
