a good story and characters but the d.s. relationship seems skewed based on my observation in works by other authors of same genre. I feel that relationship missed the mark and instead seemed weird and sizzle quotient suffered. For better representations of this sub-genre try any of the following authors: Cherise Sinclair, Grace Goodwin, Meghan March.

This is book one in the Masters and Mercenaries series. Sean is the operative sent in undercover to investigate a company, trying to discover an eco terrorist. He is also a Dom in his personal life. It seems he is immediately attracted to Grace, even before meeting her. There is a spark, even when seeing a picture of her in a file. Grace is a widow, who's sons are grown and in college. Even though she is older, she still seems to be very innocent and trusting. She is the personal secretary of a head of a company, but things seem a little strange. Then she meets Sean, who is trying to work a deal with her boss. Right away, he draws her in. Magnetic. Intense. Undeniable. Despite her guilelessness, she has secret desires, and Sean sparks those cravings off like no one else ever has. Sean and Grace together are like an inferno, a forest fire that can't be put out. This book was pure heat, right from the beginning. It seemed like nothing could stop them being together, but at times, it also seemed like everything was trying to keep them apart. This book was fascinating, a heat filled beginning to a series that promises to be the next one to keep me glued to my ereader! I can't wait to begin the next book!

These books have been absolutely phenomenal. I am very much addicted to the plots and the teams dedication in so many areas. Its truly amazing.

About the author
