Basically this book could've been cut to 50 pages. This whole serious dragged on with very little meaningful action. Listened to this on audiobook and actually found my mind wandering from the story. As in the other books, the world building is as weak as a newborn babe, with equally strong dialogue. America's indecisiveness, impulsiveness, and hypocrisy make her as easy to hate as rush hour traffic. Save yourself the pain and jump to the end of The One to find out how it ends.

America gets on my nerves. How can she be jealous that Prince Maxon is getting a feel of each girl, when she is sneaking around with Aspen. You cant have your cake and crumbs too. This is what drove me bananas. Overall I like the story and learing the history of llea. However, now that she set her heary straight with Aspen and Maxon....I guess American can now truly commit to fighting for the Prince. Also, the King is such a turd.

Yeah pretty much hated this book despite liking the first and the last. It's all relationship drama and it is repetitive in Americas inability to choose or think maturely. If you like two boys fighting over a girl and the girl being too fickle to choose read this book. In my mind she shouldn't have gotten either one.
