Melissa Kelly, MEd, is a secondary school teacher, instructional designer, and the author of The Everything New Teacher Book: A Survival Guide for the First Year and Beyond. Melissa has wide-ranging classroom experience spanning more than two decades. She has taught middle and high school social studies, government, and economics in advanced placement, honors, and virtual school classrooms. As an instructional designer, Melissa has re-developed more than twenty courses for Florida Virtual School, including AP US History and World History.
