Sheri Amsel is the author and illustrator of more than twenty-five nonfiction children's books and field guides. Her work includes books on nature, the environment, human anatomy, and "how to draw" guides. She has developed an enormous, illustrated science resource website for schools, museums, and families to use at ExploringNature.org. She also visits schools and libraries nationally with programming about animals and habitats. Sheri works out of her home studio in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York.

Tom Robinson teaches high school science and math and has coauthored an online advance placement physics course. He lives in the Seattle, Washington area.

Joe Snedeker, Med, is a meteorologist for WNEP-TV in the Scranton-Pocono Region of Pennsylvania. He has a BS in earth and space science/meteorology from the Millersville University of Pennsylvania and an MEd in biology/environmental science from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. Joe was a public high school science teacher for more than ten years and currently teaches science and meteorology at Marywood University when he is not totally immersed in his family: his wife, Dawn, and his three children, Joey, Lucas, and Aleah. He lives in Jermyn, Pennsylvania.
