Acerca deste livro eletrónico

This is a new translation into modern American English directly from the original Russian manuscript. This edition contains an Afterword by the translator, a timeline of Tolstoy's life and works, and a glossary of philosophic terminology used throughout Tolstoy's literature and philosophy. Leo Tolstoy's "The False Coupon," also published as "The Counterfeit Coupon" or "The False Coupon," is a lesser-known novella that explores the intricacies of human behavior and the consequences of seemingly small decisions. Through the story of a young boy who innocently uses a forged coupon, Tolstoy masterfully explores themes of moral dilemmas, deception, and the intricacies of conscience. This work showcases Tolstoy's literary brilliance and philosophical acumen, inviting readers to consider the ethical implications of their actions and the ripple effects they can create.
