About this eBook

Join Whit and Wisty on a magical quest to defeat the villain, once and for all, who has devastated their world.

Whit and Wisty Allgood have sacrificed everything to lead the resistance against the merciless totalitarian regime that governs their world. Its supreme leader, The One Who Is The One, has banned everything they hold dear: books, music, art, and imagination. But the growing strength of the siblings' magic hasn't been enough to stop The One's evil rampage, and now he's executed the only family they had left.

Wisty knows that the time has finally come for her to face The One. But her fight and her fire only channel more power to this already invincible being. How can she and Whit possibly prepare for a showdown with the ruthless villain that devastated their world-before he can truly become all-powerful?

In this stunning third installment of the epic, bestselling Witch & Wizard series, the stakes have never been higher-and the consequences will change everything.

Excellent representation of character development, except for Celia. It was hard for me to understand Whit's mourning for Celia because we've been told that they were completely in love. While I'm not denying this, it is difficult to sympathize for we haven't seen much interaction between the two. It seemed like every other chapter Whit would frantically searched for her, disregarding his safety and Whit's safety. But other than that, I loved the book!

I have actually JUST finished the (AFAIK) 5-book Series. (I will NOT include any spoilers...not even a tiny one, I promise!) I commented on Book 5, The Lost, but am only doing this one, The Fire (#3) in addition to the 5th Book's review. This one is, by far, my favorite of the 5. The pace was excellent, IMHO. It didn't take long to get going and just took off like a rocket the whole way! I also think was so well received–by a huge margin–that it was why Jill Dembowski wound up doing the 4th Book, The Kiss, as well. I feel that the only reason she didn't do the 5th is because, for many authors (James Patterson being the best example of this in many of his other Series, as well), they don't want one single author influencing the Series (possibly in unforseen ways), in any one direction. Anyway, I recommend reading all 5 of the Books (again, 5, As Far As I Know/AFAIK), in the Series.
