The Fugitive, Nichole's first book in her new series, Marshal Law, starts the series with a bang! Lots of action, romance, and a bit of a twist at the end. Raleigh and Bennett, I love as a couple even though there were times I wanted to smack Bennett upside the head. Bennett, the marshal out to get his fugitive, his ex, on the run after being accused of stealing money from her charity. When he finds her and finds out she's pregnant with his child and someone tries to kill her, he agrees to help her prove her innocence. Both are broken from their past and they both have a hard time moving past their feelings for each other and what she's accused of. Once I started reading this book, I found it extremely hard to put down. I am really looking forward to the rest of the series. Disclaimer: I was given an ARC of this book for an honest opinion.

The Fugitive is the first in Nichole Severn's exciting new Marshal Law series. Beckett Foster's been diligently tracking down Raleigh Wilde ever since she missed her court appearance. She's been carefully researching to discover who framed her for bilking millions from the charity she heads, but needs help clearing her name. He's equally determined to see her in jail, having learned early not to trust someone he believes to be a con and criminal. Nichole Severn's story is fast-paced and full of action, twists, and turns. Beckett and Raleigh have their hands full not only trying to come to terms with the permanent tie between them but simply surviving the determined assault by the brutal mastermind who is intent on ensure their swift demise. The Fugitive balances the electrifying action with the emotional tenderness and keeps us rooting for Raleigh and Beckett all the way!
