The book is slow and too long, you could easily cut 200 from the more than 400 pages and maintain the main plot points and character development. A lot of the events between characters that establish their relationship seem to have happened out of page and in the past, witch is weird in a book this long, maybe is the structure and the stile of the writer, I don't know.
