About this eBook

Master assassin Will Robie must track down a deadly rogue agent, but the attacks conceal a larger threat that could send shockwaves through the U. S. government and around the world in this #1 New York Times bestselling thriller.

Will Robie is a master of killing.

A highly skilled assassin, Robie is the man the U.S. government calls on to eliminate the worst of the worst--enemies of the state, monsters committed to harming untold numbers of innocent victims.

No one else can match Robie's talents as a hitman...no one, except Jessica Reel. A fellow assassin, equally professional and dangerous, Reel is every bit as lethal as Robie. And now, she's gone rogue, turning her gun sights on other members of their agency.

To stop one of their own, the government looks again to Will Robie. His mission: bring in Reel, dead or alive. Only a killer can catch another killer, they tell him.

But as Robie pursues Reel, he quickly finds that there is more to her betrayal than meets the eye. Her attacks on the agency conceal a larger threat, a threat that could send shockwaves through the U.S. government and around the world.

I'm astonished at all the positive reviews. First off, there were NO indications this was the 2nd book in a series in the description. I only found out when I couldn't figure out the point of this character in the book of a young girl. So I looked it up online to see it's a callback to book 1, but otherwise pointless. Every plot point crumbles if you stop to think...so much so it ruins the book. Twists were way too obvious also. I enjoyed his simple writing style, so I might check out another of his books.

literally the worst book I have ever read. it is so repetitive, gives so many useless details, and is so unrealistic, for book that's going for possible. literally wish I had never purchased this because I am haunted by crappy recommendations based on this book.

David Baldacci doesn't seem to ever hit a slump. He has rapidly become one of my top two authors. His characters are complex as are his story lines. He really gets into the details of a person's character...researches and uses that to really develop his characters. This is a great read with some interesting twists but doesn't become too obvious about them. He is a master at suspense and the unexpected. Buy this book. You won't regret it.
