About this ebook

What’s sexier than a bad boy? A bad ass man who’s got his shit together.

Max Alexander is nearing thirty-five. He’s built a successful company, and he’s conquered the professional world, but he’s never been lucky in love. Focusing so much time on his business and raising his daughter, adulting has come at the expense of his personal life.

His social skills are shit, his patience is shot, and at times, his temper runs hot.

The last thing he has time for is the recently single, too gorgeous for her own good young woman he hires to take care of his little girl. She’s a distraction he doesn’t need, and besides, there’s no way she’d be interested. But you know what they say about assumptions? This is book 3 in the Roommates series, but eac

h book can be read as a complete standalone as they all feature new couples to fall in love with.

***4.5 ‘Don’t Over Think It’ Stars*** I think this may just be my favorite Kendall Ryan book I’ve read thus far. It was sweet and smexy with just enough drama/angst to keep things interesting and well written characters that I loved right off the bat that kept me turning the pages until the very end. Max is quite content with his life. He has a home and his business is doing well. And though he doesn’t have any romantic prospects on the horizon, it isn’t something that bothers him. It was hard not to fall in love with Max. He adores his daughter, wants what’s best for her and isn’t afraid to admit that he doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing. But outside of the whole hot single dad thing, he’s honest, compassionate and has that smexy alpha male take charge attitude about him, He does have his moments, but isn’t afraid to admit that he may not have handled things as well as he should have. Addison (love the name btw) has had the rug pulled out from under her and is now looking to move forward with her life. I loved Addison. The situation behind her being recently single is up there with one of the worst of all time and had me going “Oh. Girl.” but after a little wallowing, she picked herself back up (with a little help from a friend) and I loved how she moved forward with her life by doing something she’s always loved. She sweet, a little sassy and compassionate. She has her insecurities thanks to her break up, but I really liked how she tried to not let them get the best of her. I loved Max and Addison’s journey to their HEA and a good portion of it is because they acted like the adults they are. I know it sounds like a weird reason, but it’s something that can be a make or break it for me. This isn’t to say that they didn’t have their angsty moments, because they did and it was mix of their own issues and outside factors, but they weren’t OTT and handled them without dragging the drama out. I enjoyed the ease of their relationship, outside of the sexual tension, and how open and honest they were about who they were and what they wanted for their future I read The House Mate in maybe two hours...maybe? Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. The writing was engaging, the pacing good and I enjoyed being in both Max and Addison’s heads as they figured things out. I was pleasantly surprised with the direction Ms. Ryan took with the whole single father thing and loved what Dylan brought to the story. ~ Copy provided by the author/InkSlinger PR ~

Ms. Ryan knows how to set off steam and she proves that with her Roommates series. The House Mate raises the temperature level to HOT. A single dad devoted to his daughter, yet clueless in the love department. What's more sexy than that? Kendall Ryan sweetened the pot with a dose of family but stayed true to the sex appeal readers have come to know and love. Full of heat with a touch of sweet equals out to a combo that's hard to beat.
