About this ebook

Set in a dark vision of the near future, a terrifying reality TV show is taking place. Twelve boys and twelve girls are forced to appear in a live event called The Hunger Games. There is only one rule: kill or be killed. When sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen steps forward to take her younger sister's place in the games, she sees it as a death sentence. But Katniss has been close to death before. For her, survival is second nature.

I love this series, definitely worth reading. I'm a massive fan and these are one of the best books I have ever read, they're just so great that it's unexplainable. I would totally recommend it. It's awesome! You just can't put the book down, I've honestly read the whole series twice and its just gets to you on a deep level.

The books aren't a political/religious epic analogue like, say, Asimov's Foundation. They're not an action packed thriller like the writing of Matt Riley or Andy McNabb. They aren't the brilliantly written prose and story web that author's like Eco and Murakami weave. But it's an engrossing mixture of these 3 (more of the first two than the third set, to be fair), that made this an utterly enthralling read, that's up there with some of my favorite books of all time.

Absolutely amazing series, I am a huge fan of the trilogy! I would recommend this book to anyone! I love Suzanne's writing style and and the amazing yet terrifying world of Panem she brought us with these books. 10/10 would recommend! I also recommend reading Suzanne Collins' new book, Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the prequel to the Hunger Games.
