And with powers like those Henri has only seen once–in the person of his mother–he knows he must intervene, not only for the princess’s sake, but for his own kingdom. Intervening would be much easier, however, if the princess didn’t resent him so much. Which makes it all the more confusing, when he finds himself drawn to her…and wonders whether she’s secretly curious about him, too.
None of that will matter, however, if the evil queen has her way. Her dark tendrils, they realize, reach far beyond the boundaries of their own kingdoms. If these two unlikely allies can’t stop her, a shadow of misery and oppression will overtake everyone they love.
