Rich Snow
This is my grandfather's major publication. Grandpa was an applied mathematician and physicist who worked under Robert Oppenheimer's staff on the Manhattan Project in Los Alamos, New Mexico along with many other scientists during the WWII time frame. There is an interesting paperback book called "Day of Trinity" by Lansing Lamont (New York: Signet Books, The New American Library Inc., 1965 - First Printing, June 1966) about this fascinating period in our nation's history and the development of the atomic bomb. He had a career of more than 60 years in mathematics & physics. A brief summary of his career can be found on Wikipedia, by searching for Chester Snow. His publications are mostly from the National Bureau of Standards (now National Institute of Standards and Technology or NIST), though the Wikipedia article is incomplete as far as his publications are concerned. I plan on updating it as I'm able. Grandpa also worked in retirement for the Diamond Ordnance Fuze Laboratories.
