The plot follows a group of radical materialists calling themselves the "Fourth Dimensionists" who are attempting to seize control of society for the good of society.

Born Józef Teodor Konrad Korzeniowski, Conrad was a Polish-British writer who is regarded as one of the greatest novelists to write in the English language.
