After walking through the portal in the Tower of Swallows and narrowly escaping death, Ciri finds herself in a completely different world. . . an Elven world. Time does not seem to exist and there are no obvious borders or portals to cross back into her home world. She is trapped.

But this is the child of prophecy, and she will not be defeated. She knows she must escape to finally rejoin the Witcher and his companions—and also to conquer her worst nightmare. Leo Bonhart, the man who chased, wounded, and tortured Ciri, is still on her trail. And the world is still at war.

This is more of a review about the author. This old jackass gets mad at CDPRs success and demands more money after they agree to their original deal, then makes plenty of statements disparaging the video game and its players... well, if he doesn't already know 90% of the people who bought his books only did so from the game experience, same goes for the show, and in both instances the game developers told the story of Geralt WAY better than he or that SJW producer from netflix ever did. So, he should be thankful for his success, even though he's obviously angry that they did a better job than he in re-telling the story. One thing is for certain, they definitely sold more books than he ever could have alone, and had I known about how much of an unpleasant angry old jerk he is about the whole thing I would have just pirated these ebooks rather than support an author who I admired for creating The Witcher.

Skipped so many pages just hoping to read about Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, hell anybody important. Half the book is through the perspective of someone unimportant talking about unimportant stuff. Finally gave up and read something else. Waste of my money.

I was enjoying reading all the books in the series until I got to this one. Started flipping past pages to get to the 10% of the book that mattered. It's hearing a story of someone else that read a book on the story.
