I really disliked the force awakens, but I can't get enough of the last
Jedi. So I had to buy this book. The author really isn't that good, quite
bland, really, and seems only to elaborate on plot points he finds worth
exploring. Granted, he added scenes I really needed, like Leia's connection
to the force, Han's memorial, and many more. But what I really wanted was
more insight into the characters of Ben Solo and Rey. The author gives you
nothing more than the movie does. Maybe there's a reason for it.

I'll come back and give this 5 stars but just to let y'all know I got Force awakens the novelization the same day it came out in theaters so having to wait until March 6th for the novelization of this movie which most people have already seen already is a Monumental waste of time.

After watching the film and feeling a little unsatisfied to say the least, this book came along and gave me what I needed. Now that I have finished I am going to go back and watch the film again with these details in mind. Thank you to the author for such an amazing read. I am looking forward to rereading and learning even more.
