J Krishnamurti (1896-1986) was one of the most important spiritual leaders of his time. Mary Lutyens is a noted writer and biographer. Apart from her work on Krishnamurti, her books include The Lyttons in India, Millais and the Ruskins, and a biography of her father, the architect Edwin Lutyens.
