The autumn wind whistled through the barren trees as the small town of Sorrow Lake lay shrouded in mist. The town, nestled deep within the dense forest, seemed to be frozen in time, its ancient buildings standing as silent witnesses to a past filled with secrets and sorrow.

Emma Wright, a young journalist from the city, had come to Sorrow Lake in search of a story. She had heard whispers of strange occurrences and unexplained disappearances in the area, and she was determined to uncover the truth behind the town's dark history.
