About this eBook

A sexy, sleek-tailed monster.

Zantu has evaded the mate-bond for thirty-five years, dodging promiscuous mermaids with vile intents. Unlike mermaids, mermen bond for life, and Zantu refuses to accept the heartbreak most mermen die of. That is, until the glint of gold catches his eye, and a simple salvage mission turns to passion. Now he’s bonded to a human.

A woman looking for a reason to live.

Briana thinks her life is over after the loss of her child. Instead, she falls into the arms of a merman who is anything but cold-blooded. He’s wild, seductive, and sets her blood on fire every time he touches her, and soon she begins to need him for more than his magic to breathe underwater. He might just give her a new purpose.

But as dangers encroach from every side, Zantu must choose; keep his new mate at his side or keep her safe.

Either way, he’s sure he’ll end up with a broken heart.

Reader Promise: Steamy love scenes, dangerous mermaids, and sexy merman secrets. Guaranteed HEA with no cliffhangers. Intended for mature audiences.

This gets 4 stars, overall I really find the author did a great job with the plot and world building. There was a lot packed into this book despite its page count, it entertained me and it put this author in my will-give-any-story-she-writes-a-chance-even-if-the-dude-is-a-horse (or fish) list. And! The mermaids were colour coordinated😂 This story entertained me, as well as the friends of mine who benefited from my play by play. I read it because it was free, it's not something I'm likely to have picked up otherwise. One you get past the part where he's a fish, the story isn't bad. It has a plot. It has details about the world under the sea and how life works there. The story was a little rushed, yet it was still a good complete story. My absolute favorite line from this book is: (stop reading here if you don't want to know 😉) "His cock had erupted from its sheath like a narwhal's horn through the ice" The book is absolutely worth reading for that line alone.

Could of done without the sexual scenes but other than that I enjoyed it. Would of been a 5 but too too much sexual scenes for me... I.mean a couple ok but half the book was like reading soft porn

Although it's short, this book can let you escape into a believable ocean setting where men are the gentle caregivers who pine for happiness and women the careless good time, love em and leave em type.
