Alan (A.M.) Keen is an award winning, international author. His first novel, ‘The Dark Army,’ hit cult status in 2010. It was the first in the ‘Tales of Averon’ books, which chronicle a battle between woodland animals. With the success of this, Alan published the second in the series, ‘The Beast,’ which again found success across the Atlantic. He made local news in 2011 as fans from the US began visiting his home county to see the inspirational areas where the books were set. By 2012, the third book had placed with New Generation Publishing. Alan decided to re-release the first two books to make a trilogy edition. ‘Tales of Averon: Dawn of the Great War’ published and won the New Generation Publishing Prize for best book of the year. He then won an international competition to contribute an alternate ending to the book ‘Worlds Apart,’ by David Diprose and Paul Wilson. Alan began work on his book ‘Haunted,’ which published in November 2013. It is also the only fictional, paranormal book in the world to be officially endorsed by four, real life, celebrity paranormal investigators. In 2014 Alan turned back back to an English setting and wrote the fantasy / horror novel ‘Witch.’ The book was published by Black Rose in the US a few months later. In May 2014, he penned the independent British horror movie, ‘Nyctophobia.’ Alan is friends with Michael York and Alex Duggan from the show UK Haunted, and also Bill Murphy and his wife Anita, paranormal investigators from the SyFy channel in the US. Alan is a regular speaker about writing, and has guest lectured at Kings College in London. When he isn’t writing, he can usually be found supporting Liverpool FC, watching scary documentaries and spending time with his family.
