Darla and Jack chose a picturesque Church in an idyllic little town to marry. Unsurprisingly, there is a corpse at the wedding site. With ceremonies on hold until the crime can be solved, Adam is asked by the Sheriff to assist, and he calls his intrepid boss, the Sheriff in their little town, in for backup. He may have a bit of a stick ip his butt attitude, but the man understands homicide investigations. How strange that the personnel in an even smaller town are more devoted to keeping their mayor happy, his son out of trouble, and avoiding stirring things up - makes the department Adam and Sheriff Bruce work for look like real pros in comparison. A wild medley of lethal threats, bad actors, and inept investigations are mixed with secret wedding vows exchanged, futures plotted and debated, and a very depressed Grandma Ruby ghost. Bittersweet action, drama and ghostly adventures.

Another good story in the series. Bernie, Ruby and the gang are trying to solve the murder of the minister who was supposed to officiate Jack and Darla’s wedding. Being in a strange town and not knowing all the locals makes the job a little harder. The murderer doesn’t want to be caught. Can they solve this mystery or will tragedy strike?.
