A classic detective short story shrouded in mystery, "Marie Rogêt" features Poe’s famour investigator C. Auguste Dupin trying to solve a murder case. Based upon an actual murder, the short story is an intricate narrative revolving around floating dead bodies, strange suicides, phials of poison, and the power of newspapers to solve the gruesome murder. His most famous works include "The Raven" (1945), "The Black Cat" (1943), and "The Gold-Bug" (1843).
