Jonathan Maberry is a NY Times bestselling author, four-time Bram Stoker Award winner, and comic book writer. He writes horror, thrillers, mystery, fantasy, science fiction and suspense for adults and teens. David Wellington est né en 1971 à Pittsburg (Pennsylvanie), ville où George Romero a tourné La Nuit des morts-vivants. Ceci l’a sans doute destiné à écrire sa propre trilogie sur les zombies, d’abord sur son site internet personnel, avant de se faire remarquer par un éditeur. Ses ouvrages ont en commun la mise en scène de monstres classiques revus et corrigés par ses soins, tels les vampires de 13 Balles dans la peau, qui sont de véritables machines à tuer, bien loin des suceurs de sang pales et androgynes... Aujourd’hui, David vit à New York, en compagnie de son chien, Mary Shelley (!) et de son épouse, Elisabeth. Lors de leurs vœux de mariage, cette dernière lui a fait promettre de botter les fesses de beaucoup de zombies !
