Ratings and reviews

People see the author's name and won't give it the time of day... they "know" what it's all about... instead, they critique his books without ever opening the cover. As you read their comments notice how vague they are. As we have four major scandals come out in the past month, I think that's a little hard to say that this book is a conspiracy. I don't think the founders had planned for the United States to become a surveillance state... We've slowly progressed our way into it, which is the Overton Window

Is Glenn beck making people forget who started the surveillance state in the first place, on the back of 9/11. The overton window of things changing slowly and becoming accepted is right, things like civil rights, voting rights, etc, stuff that Glenn beck and his party certainly want to turn back. Oh, the book is actually an alright read if you can forget about the subtle brain washing scenarios in it. It's a pretty fast read. Gave it a 3.

WOW! Great book. I just love the way Glen lays out where we are going as a country indirectly - without being an "in your face" patriotic constitutional conservative American - by working through the characters who encounter conflicts and challenges to their thinking with references to actual events that have occurred and events that could realistically occur in our not-to-distant future...if we don't do something to get back to the reasoning of our founding fathers! This is what made the book great to me. There is no better time to ready this book but NOW!
