About this eBook

He was my worst enemy. He spent every waking moment devising fresh new ways of torturing me. No one has ever been able to make me cry like Matthais Bristow: my twin brother’s best friend, and the person on this planet I hate most.

Then, he left for college and I was free of him. For ten blessed years, I was free of his torture.

Now, he’s back, and he owns half of the family business I spent my entire life preparing to take over.

Is this going to be a new round of his old favorite game, Make Delia McKenna Cry, or am I to believe he’s actually come back with good intentions?

Jasinda Wilder is a fairly new author to me but after reading The Parent Trap I’m left wondering why I haven’t read more by this very talented author, I will certainly be checking out her previous books as soon as time permits. The Parent Trap is the perfect book to escape with, it’s an enemies to lovers/ brothers best friend romance, this is Delia McKenna and Matthias (Thai) Bristow’s story. Dell and Delia are twins but they couldn’t be more different if they tried, Delia has concentrated on her career, Dell has become a playboy normally partying with his best friend Thai and over the years this pair have made Delia’s life miserable. But things are about to chance because Thai has purchased half of the McKenna’s business and that means working side by side with Delia. This is where the fun and games begin as this couple come to terms with first off working together and then the feelings they have hidden from everyone over the year. So what will happen when lines are crossed….. I loved this book, it was raw, it was entertaining, it was steamy and it had the perfect mix of angst and witty banter. The characters and their story was easy to relate to and I really recommend this gem of a read.

THE PARENT TRAP by Jasinda Wilder is a stand alone, contemporary, adult ,erotic romance story line focusing on thirty year olds, millionaire businessman Matthais ‘Thai’ Bristow, and soon to be CEO of McKenna Construction Delia McKenna’s story line. Told from dual first person perspectives ( Thai and Delia) THE PARENT TRAP follows the volatile, enemies to lovers relationship between thirty year olds, millionaire businessman Matthais ‘Thai’ Bristow, and Delia McKenna. Delia and Matthais, along with Delia’s twin brother Dell, grew up in a life of privilege and wealth but years of Thai’s relentless bullying of our story line heroine changed our heroine into a shell of her former self. Upon the death of her beloved father, Delia would discover that her brother Dell, a man who knows nothing about the family business and doesn’t want to try, has been tasked with working alongside his sister in order to receive his inheritance, a task with what he wants nothing to do. Selling his share of the business to his best friend Thai, Dell heads off into places unknown, leaving his sister to deal with the fall-out of this one final act of immaturity and defiance. What ensues is the building enemies to lovers romance and relationship between Thai and Delia, as Thai must come to terms with the pain and heart break he caused for the woman with whom he will fall in love. Matthais ‘Thai’ Bristow grew up an entitled rich boy, and alongside his best friend Dell, they would bully, tease and torment anyone they perceived to be less than perfect including our story line heroine. Thai’s single-minded and ruthless verbal and emotional attacks against Delia McKenna left a shattered soul in its’ wake, a soul that continues to struggle with the fall-out of Thai’s uncompromising vitriol. Working side by side with our story line heroine found Thai reliving a period in his life he was hoping to forget, a period in which his cruelty destroyed the fragile ego of a young teenaged girl. The years would pass, and Delia would battle with the demons of her past, growing into a successful business woman, able to take down a bully like Matthais Bristow. The relationship between Thai and Delia is a best friend’s sister/enemies to lovers/ story of forgiveness and acceptance, friendship and love. Delia struggles with issues of trust and low self esteem, as it pertains to her brother’s best friend Thai, issues that she continues to address every day of her life. Thai, desperate to prove he is no longer the callous and unfeeling bully he was years before, begins a slow seduction of our story line heroine, in an effort to win her love, and ultimately her forgiveness. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and erotic, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. We are introduced to Delia’s twin brother Dell, their father Douglas McKenna, and several people who work for McKenna Construction. Dell’s story is next in SPRUNG. THE PARENT TRAP is a fast paced, character driven introduction to Jasinda Wilder’s new romance series. The premise is honest and emotional; the characters are real, dynamic and spirited; the romance is spicy and sensitive, as our heroine must over come her past to move on with her future.

They say there is a fine line between love and hate. This is so true for Delia and Thai. For the first eighteen years of Delia’s life Thai was the meanest, most cruel person to her. The things he said to her would have her in tears. To say she hated him would be an understatement. If you were to ask Thai why, he wouldn’t know. Now after not seeing each other for 10 years he is back. Thai is now co-owner with her of her family’s company. She is definitely not happy. What is his game? Could he be planning the cruelest of jokes on her? The truth is Thai is tired of his lifestyle. Tired of no direction or purpose. He has more money than he knows what to do with, but he isn’t happy. Empty is more like it. He needs a purpose. He is determined to be successful as part owner with Delia. The more time they spend together the more he realizes how much he hurt her years ago. His actions as well as his words. Nothing can erase what he did all those years ago, but he is determined to al least try to make up for it. To be a partner with her in not only business. He is also realizing how attracted he is to her. He wants her to like him, which is something he never cared about before with women. For the first time in his life, he wants more. Can Delia trust him is the question. Can she see he has changed for the better? She is not only risking her business, but her heart. She has so much to lose. Somehow her hate for him has been changing. She fantasizes about him. Can he really be the man she sees now or is he playing her for the biggest heartbreak. Delia and Thai are perfect together. The man he has now become will melt your heart. After getting to know him you start to understand why he was the way he was years ago. Sometimes having money and not a care in the world blinds you to see what life is all about. It doesn’t make you appreciate all the little things life has to offer. Now, Thai’s happiness is doing for others, especially Delia. Her happiness is what keeps him going. Being with her and sharing life together is what it’s all about. Expressing your thoughts and feelings and even getting the occasional hug and getting the same in return is what love is all about. Just because you have the riches doesn’t mean you’re happy. Being able to share it and love each other is the greatest gift of all and the greatest treasure of all.
