I admit it's a very captivating read but I didn't like any of the characters, except maybe Basil Hallward who was the only salvageable character out of all. His only fault was to love Dorian a little too much of blind devotion. And poor Sybil Vane who was used by the a hole. Though I did find myself agreeing with some of the points of view/skewed philosophy of Lord Henry, I found him to obnoxious, misogynistic by the end.And Dorian Gray's surname suits him as he's a gray, easily influenced, boring.

Having never read this novel, I can honestly say I was quite pleased. Oscar Wilde has a style that might take some getting used to, but he was also using the language of his time. He is vivid, purposeful, and highly conscious. As for the digital copy, far fewer errors in type than most e-books I've read. Awesome read for free!

but i felt the end was too sudden. I just thought that his life(Dorian's)was truly immortal, kind of like a vampire, where he would outlast many of his friends and see many centuries. But to die the way he did and describe him as "wrinkled" and "worn" at nearly 40 when he took his life is just a disappointment of an ending to me! I guess maybe i was thinking the character would be more like the league of extraordinary gentlemen character. A good book nonetheless .
