I first read a child called "it" and I had read some scenarios aloud and my mother in law and I were both as shocked as eachother. I feel terribly sorry for children who are raised in such filth and feel so low everyday they want to crawl in a hole and die. I have two children both boys and I could never treat them like this very mother treated dave. As his life goes on in and out of foster care I was happy to read he did finally get married (twice) and has his own children. God bless with man and soldier

I have never "rated/reviewed" before, but peltzer and a child called it, are life changing, unforgettable, soul-grabbing stories that should be mandatory in schools, perhaps preventing bullying, empathy, appreciation of what one might have, and reminders of what being human is..absolutely thumbs up

I love all of Dave's books. My best friend got me into reading all of them. The book A Child Called "IT" I could not put it down for nothing. After I read it I thought to myself " And I thought I had it bad growing up". My life wasn't as bad as Dave's. This book is the next one I'm going to read.
