Acerca de este libro electrónico

Not every eleven year old can defend his mother with a sword!

The Rapier Robbers attack on Chteau St. Croix brings acclaim to Jordan and Julien. Their parents experience a startling surprise. Their sons have been practicing with their rapiers! The robbery also helps the boys realize how careful they must be to protect the secret that only they knowthe swords can take them through time.

Jordan and Julien St. Croix return for their second adventure in The Reluctant Prince. The boys are eleven year old cousins born on the same day. They accidentally discovered the swords secret during their first adventure, The Enchanted Rapiers. Now, the swords beckon them into the past once more.

Jordan trips across a cryptic clue while searching for something to read. That leads them to a hidden room filled to the brim with unknown objects. They explore the treasure trove. The cousins discover something startling. They are described in a diary from 450 years in the past! The discovery throws them headlong into their second trip through time.

Far in the past, they meet some unusual people. First, they find a small boy who needs love and encouragement to grow into the person he must become. The cousins also must mold Tyson, the Barons son. He cannot become the next Baron St. Croix until he learns humility. Finally, they encounter a very lonely ten year old prince. This young man must learn independence and strength of will as he faces the possibility of becoming the next King of France.

Swordfights and chivalry abound as the cousins charge from one exciting scrape into another.

Permettez l'aventure de continuer!

Acerca del autor

M. Bradley Davis’ sixth grade English teacher made a mistake. She introduced him to poetry. (Thank you, Mrs. Foster!) Since then, Mr. Davis has learned that while he isn’t a poet, he loves telling stories. Mr. Davis became a teacher in 1985. He taught fourth grade for thirteen years. He taught all the usual suspects—ah, subjects; he added courtesy, honesty, respect, and character to his students’ lessons. Mr. Davis was listed in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, and twice listed in Who’s Who Among Young American Professionals. Today, he is part of the school district’s technology department. His former students and the young people around him inspire Mr. Davis’ characters. Mr. Davis is active in his church. His hobbies include reading, writing, amateur astronomy, and photography. The Reluctant Prince is Mr. Davis’ eighth book. He has seven other novels published through AuthorHouse. Tunnel of Dreams is a short fantasy novel. Mr. Davis’ science fiction series, the MindFusion Series, contains three books with more to come. They are: The Hand in the Mirror, The Canopus Conundrum, and Encounter at Lalor. The Hand in the Mirror was a Fiction-SciFi finalist in the 2003 ForeWord Magazine Book of the Year competition, and Encounter at Lalor was an Award Finalist for Science Fiction in the USABookNews.com National Best Book Awards 2008 Competition. A Spark of Magic and The Broken Violin are the first books in a series, called Musica Con Fuoco, about gifted musicians. The Enchanted Rapiers is historical fantasy that leads cousins into their family’s past, and is the book before The Reluctant Prince in the Swords Through Time Series. Mr. Davis lives in the Texas Hill Country.
