About the author

Daniel J. Frey, DPT, CMP, CSCS, is a well-known orthopedic and sports physical therapist who specializes in the treatment of runners. Dan received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of New England. Prior to this, he attended the University of Delaware, where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology. An avid runner, he has raced at distances ranging from 400 meters to 50 kilometers. He lives and works in Portland, Maine.

Chris Solinsky is the former American record-holder in the 10,000 meters and a retired professional runner. He currently serves as head coach for the College of William & Mary’s Men’s and Women’s Track and Cross Country squads. He lives with his wife in Williamsburg, VA.
