I want to give this book 3.25 stars, not 3. Adrien and Imogen work well as main characters together. I like that neither of them are functionally perfect, they are flawed but they strive to do the right thing. It's a good story with pretty good pacing but the twist wasn't sufficiently built up and and the book ended so abruptly that it took away from my enjoyment. I suspect that was done deliberately so that one is forced to buy the next book to see how the story and the characters lives progress. I detest that way of telling stories. If the writer is talented, I am always willing to buy the next book.

The main character Detective Grey is at that center of bizarre and gruesome dealings with twist and turns; which she finds she is linked to those responsible./ Interesting story and method; I can see the future of Ms Diamond's sharpening of the "writing"/literary skills with experience....and evolving plots. Thank you

I didn't feel like it was finished properly. I literally went back and forth pages assuming I missed something. It was too abrupt and didn't tie in. Otherwise, a good book.
