I have to say this one book is better than the Twilight series. Although there is drama, everything is seen from a more adult point of view and when there is a problem someone does something. The story is also simple and not littered with arbitrary characters that have no life in themselves. There is danger, romance, and actual logic. I highly recommend this over the Twilight books.

This is among one of my favorite books to read. When you read this book you can tell that the author Annette Curtis Klause was very inspired when see wrote this book. the drama about the girl with her mother on the verge of death makes you think about the people that are in those situations. I truly recomend this book.

Very easy and nice read. Very much enjoyed. The book could have been drawn out a little more, everything moved too fast if you ask me. Other than that it was a very nice book.

About the author

Annette Curtis Klause is head of children’s services at the Aspen Hill Community Library in Maryland. Born in Bristol, England, she now lives in Hyattsville, Maryland, with her husband and their cats. When she was young, Annette’s daddy sat her on his lap and told her the plots of the best old horror movies. This seems to have made a strong impression. Annette Curtis Klause holds a BA in English literature and an MLS from the University of Maryland, College Park, but when excited, she still has a tendency to howl.
