About this eBook

“Deep calleth unto deep” Psalms 42:7 says. Are you listening? The Scriptures declare, “Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth. He directeth it under the whole heaven…God thundereth marvellously with his voice…” (Job 37:2-5). Perhaps we need to be a little more attentive. In Job 33:14 it says “For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.” Also in Job 36:29, “Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?” One thing is for sure, God has no problem speaking, for “the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard…” (Isaiah 30:30), and “the LORD's voice crieth unto the city…” (Micah 6:9). My prayer is that the Lord can use this book to help us hear “the sound of a going in the mulberry trees” (II Samuel 5:22-24); that we can experience the “sound of a rushing mighty wind” (Acts 2:1), and hear “His voice as the sound of many waters” (Revelation 1:13-15); most importantly though that we hear “the sound of an abundance of rain” (I Kings 8:41-46). I pray the Lord instills in every one of us a zeal, a desire, and an unsatisfied heart that longs to know the real Jesus and to hear His sound, for Psalms 89:15 declares, “Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.”
