Ugh. Way too "woke". I wanted to like it so badly, I'm born and raised in Long Island so I really wanted this book to feel life home. So, so, so sad because I have read all her books, followed her for years, but this book was such a dud. Between pronouns, the token "pansexual" character, the political undertones. No thank you, I sadly bid my formerly favorite author adieu.
