About the author

 Gordon W. Lathrop is Charles A. Schieren Professor Liturgy Emeritus at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and author many books, including the trilogy Holy Things (1993), Holy People (1999), and Holy Ground (2003), and more recently, The Four Gospels on Sunday,  all from Fortress Press.

Lorraine S. Brugh is associate pastor of music and director of chapel music at Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Indiana. She is university organist, director of the Kantorei, and holds the Frederick J. Kruse Endowed Chair in Church Music.
