About the author

The Author Bo Dean, has been drawing the human form of realism art for over twenty years, which inspired him to expand his artistic talents to start painting different object d’art, including animals, scenes, symbolism, ect. This furthered his interest into the realm of tattooing. Prior to his current incarceration, Bo established himself adept in the art of tattooing. Starting at the age of 36, he learned the various methods of mechanics, styles, apparatuses, of the art. Since his imprisonment 6 years ago, Bo has since mastered the art, from other great tattooist’s. He has decided to share with those whom wish to learn the art, a fair share of the knowledge that he himself has been taught. Instead of writing about the general basics of “street tattooing,” Bo Dean has exemplified the prison tattoo lifestyle, by documenting and illustrating such, in his new book The Tattoo Apprentice Guide - Bring Prison Ink To The Streets.
