Brian is crazy about video games. He lives for them. Coming across the old man at the flea market was the best thing that has happened to him in a long time. Or was it? The game has been amazing for him but when his friends stop hanging out with him, Brian wonders if he should take it back to the old man. Only problem is, the game won’t let him stop. I really enjoyed this! Working with grades 4-8, this is just the type of genre they are looking for. I can’t wait to get this series into our library at school. This story is about good vs. evil and as Brian, sucked into the gaming world, let this game take hold of him, you see his life begin to spiral out of control. He pushes his friends away and moves onto others to continue his “high” of sorts. It took Brian, more or less hitting bottom, to realize the best things in life do not revolve around games and electronics, instead it is enjoying time with friends and family.
