John R. Grodzinski’s volume in the Routledge Research Guides to American Military Studies covers the origins of the War of 1812 - the major post-revolutionary conflict fought between the United States and the British Empire - providing a general overview of the significant battles that occurred at sea and in the area of the present-day Great Lakes and U.S.-Canadian border. A szerzőről
Major John R. Grodzinski is Lecturer of history at The Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario, and an officer of Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians). He served as the Managing Editor of The Army Doctrine and Training Bulletin (now the Canadian Army Journal) for six years, and has authored articles, editorials, and reviews for numerous publications on the subject of military history and also conducts tours of War of 1812 battlefields.
