Rory (Aurora) is a 20-something college graduate finding her way in the world when she bumps into Houston, her deceased best friend's brother and ex-boyfriend from five years ago. Now, married and running his own micro-brewery he attempts to reconnect with Rory. As their relationship develops, the darkness in their pasts unfold and we realize the two of them left a lot unsaid. As Houston's marriage deteriorates, the two begin to fall back into familiar patterns. The characters in this book are not your typical clear conscious hero's. In fact, they shamelessly display some of most frightening and horrific sides of human nature and it is delicious! Who wants their heroine to have self-respect and a clear sense of right and wrong? Not me! The characters are interesting and volatile and will entrap my imagination for days to come. I give the author a standing ovation for the bravery and talent it took to write character's who are relatable, morally corrupt, a little psychologically unstable and still leave the reader wanting more. Just let me tell you the ending to this book is AMAZING! Cassia Leo has gotten my attention in the world of emerging authors and I hope I've gotten yours.

I never know what to expect when I read a new series by Cassia as she writes so many different types of stories. Some touch me immensely by their subject matter and this is one of them. This is an book that will touch different people in different ways for so many reasons. I do not do spoilers in my reviews, so will not say how or way you will be touched if you read this just know you will. I love Cassia's writing and love how her books can touch me in so many ways. This is an amazing story and I can't wait to see where book 2 takes us Thank you Cassia for sharing this one with us. PS I loved where the book was set that is one place on my bucket list to visit

Oh my gosh , I am really not into romance but this book blew me away . It kept me captivated and for the first time couldn't predict what was going to happen .... I seriously can't wait to get my hands on the way we break....thank you Cassie for your talent , keep writing and never stop .....
