We learn that marketing books is not easy. It takes work. Creativity. And time. But it can be fun. 

These authors use websites, mailing lists, social media, BookBub, online advertising,  promotion sites, and catchy graphics. And they appear on podcasts, attend book clubs, hold events in bookstores, breweries, museums, and homes, and they speak, write, and teach about writing.

And when it comes to finding readers, New York Times bestselling author Kristy Harvey reminds us, “You're actually a lot better off to have 250 email subscribers that are truly interested in what you're saying, they're actually reading your emails, they really want to buy your book, than you are to have 250,000 that aren't even opening them in the first place.” 

Although there is no master blueprint to publishing and marketing success, these quotes offer inspiration and actionable tips for how to succeed at both.
