For twenty years he was the editor of Asimov's Science Fiction, during which time he received the Hugo Award for Best Editor fifteen times, Nebula Awards twice, and a World Fantasy Award. He has also been inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame and has received the Skylark Award for Lifetime Achievement.
